1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Knlock handles personal data when you use our stack transition learning product.
2. Data We Collect
We may collect name, email, account details, resume uploads if used, skills added, learning progress, AI prompts or queries, usage analytics, payment metadata, session identifiers, device identifiers, user agent, IP address, and last-seen timestamps. We do not collect or store full card details.
3. How We Use Data
We use data for account access, personalized learning, resume and skill analysis, product improvement, support, payments, fraud prevention, security, and service reliability.
4. Resume and Uploaded Data
Resume and uploaded data are used only for analysis and product features. We do not sell personal resume data. You may request deletion by contacting support.
6. Session and Device Tracking
Knlock records limited session and device metadata so we can support one active device or browser session at a time, detect replaced sessions, protect paid content, and reduce account sharing.
7. Payment Metadata
For paid subscriptions, we store payment metadata such as plan type, amount, currency, Razorpay order ID, Razorpay payment ID, payment status, subscription start date, and subscription end date. Razorpay handles payment processing and card data.
8. Watermarking and Misuse Prevention
Paid learning content may display dynamic watermarks containing account and timestamp information. This is used to deter unauthorized copying, screenshots, redistribution, and misuse of protected content.
9. Third-Party Services
Knlock may use Razorpay for payments, Groq or another API provider for AI features, Google Analytics for usage analytics, hosting providers such as Vercel, Render, or Neon, and an email service provider for transactional or support messages.
10. Data Storage and Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect data, including access controls and secure transport where supported. No online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
11. User Rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, export, or withdrawal of consent where applicable. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
12. GDPR-style Rights
Where applicable, users may have rights to object to processing, restrict processing, request portability, and lodge complaints with a relevant data protection authority.
13. India IT Act Aligned Wording
For users in India, we aim to handle personal information in line with applicable Indian technology and data protection obligations, including reasonable security practices under the Information Technology Act framework where applicable.
14. Children's Privacy
Knlock is intended for developers and career-focused learners. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
15. Data Retention
We retain data for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain account records, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and improve product reliability.
16. Changes to Policy
We may update this policy as Knlock evolves. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date when appropriate.
